GenAir acquires RTC Group BV to accelerate European expansion and extend oil-free compressor range
GenAir UK Ltd (“GenAir”), a specialist provider of industrial air compressors and ancillary products, is pleased to announce the acquisition of RTC Group BV (“RTC”), a Netherlands-based provider of large-scale containerised oil-free centrifugal compressor and dryer rental solutions.
The acquisition marks GenAir’s first strategic move into mainland Europe and expands their oil-free compressor offering in the UK. This shift represents a significant milestone in the company’s long-term strategy to build a pan-European compressed air rental platform.
RTC Group has established a strong reputation within the oil-free compressed air sector, supporting customers across pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, chemicals, manufacturing and energy infrastructure.
Its highly specialised fleet of containerised oil-free centrifugal compressors, dryers and boosters complements GenAir’s existing offering, significantly expanding the company’s technical capabilities and market reach in the UK and Europe.
Following the acquisition, GenAir will become one of the few specialist compressor hire companies in Europe able to offer a technology-agnostic oil-free solution portfolio, including:
- Diesel and electric-powered oil-free compressors
- Oil-free screw compressors
- Oil-free centrifugal compressors
- Large-scale containerised rental solutions for mission-critical applications
This enables GenAir to provide customers with the most appropriate compressor solution, regardless of fuel type, platform or operational requirement.
This move also provides GenAir with an immediate operational footprint in continental Europe, including an established Netherlands trading entity, depot infrastructure, customer relationships and fleet capability.

In collaboration, GenAir and RTC will be supporting high-specification industrial applications where clean, reliable compressed air is critical, including planned maintenance shutdowns, emergency breakdown response, process continuity and large-scale temporary air requirements.
GenAir is hopeful that the acquisition will strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving oil-free compressed air market, driven by increasing regulatory standards, ESG requirements and demand for contamination-free industrial processes.
